My experience as a parent is that the core 'scholarship' awards
don't change, but there are other 'grants' that might. My daughter's
scholarship didn't change over the 4 years she was there, and so far
my son's hasn't either. He may take more than 4 years, so I'm not
counting on it beyond that. He got another small grant (might have
the terms wrong) the first two years, but not beyond that, but the
amount on the acceptance letter has continued to be provided.
The residency would worry me a little. The rules for state residency
for tuition where my son is are pretty strict, and that's the kind of thing
a state legislature might decide to change to either save money
or just make a point. I would hope for the best and (as always)
plan for the worst.
Anyhow, it's fantastic news.
