That is correct, Ramos is a large complex making a number of vehicles. The 9-4X doorjamb label says "Mfd by General Motors de Mexico, S. de R.L. de C. V. for Saab Automobile AB". Ramos Arizpe assembly plant was established in 1981 and currently builds the Cadillac SRX, Chevrolet Captiva, and Chevrolet Sonic.
I am still trying to figure out a) how many Saab 9-4Xs were built, and, b) what the range of VINs of those vehicles was. The highest VIN I know of is BS800614, and I have seen production numbers of 497x, "less than 600, and 674 (with the most credible source saying 674).
As far as I can tell right now, it seems likely that 2011 Saabs had VINs from 800001-800674. There are some 2012s built by GM as "Manufacturing Validation - Saleable", but they were never sold by GM to Saab, so they do not, in general, have clear titles AFIK. Anyone know any more about that?
Best,
Gary
