Ive worked on all sorts of lawn care equipment and Saabs, of course, all my life. I need to brush hog about 2 to 3 acres in areas of a neglected property ( used to be mowed grass but is now brambles and saplings ) and was thinking of picking up an old farm tractor with a bush/brush hog. Nothing to fancy, something pretty old, 60's or 70's era, or even as early as 50's. They are plentiful on the "list" and affordable , couple grand for the whole package. I know they are pretty simple machines for the most part, but am concerned if a major unusual part fails, will I be able to get the part and fix it myself? Anyone have firsthand experience with owning an old Massey,Farmall,Deere,Ford,Case etc?
