Most Tractor mechanical systems are very simple and robust, parts are generally available for the years you mention, 40's on back get to be a little more difficult, Hydro-static transmission are more complicated and trouble prone from what I hear so I would avoid those. As you probably know there is a huge selection in sizes, as others have mentioned the Ford 8n is a good choice as are the Massey Fergusons. IH, Deere and Chalmers are also good but they tend to be larger row crop tractors that have high driving positions, certainly workable as a mower but not as good as the lower GP tractors for just bush hogging. Also consider a smaller tractor with a belly bush hog, these are easier to both maneuver and store. Good luck and Have Fun!
