Any wild mushroom hunters out there? Posted by GFW3pedals [Email] (#405) [Profile/Gallery] (more from GFW3pedals) on Fri, 10 Jul 2015 13:43:32 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
It's been rainy here for weeks, and this weekend will be very warm and dry. Perfect mushroom weather. Can't wait to get into the woods and search. So far over the years, ive enjoyed black trumpets ( the best! ) morels (given to me by a very generous person) chicken of the woods & young puffballs. This year I hope to find some choice chanterelles. I found a group last season but was not 100% sure they were the real deal. I will revisit the site to see if they are back this year. I stay clear of the gilled varieties as it is just too hard to make a positive idenification. The ones listed above are pretty much foolproof, with few or no confusable poisonous look alikes.
