"That means Nevs will supply 150,000 electric cars until 2020." Doesn't this mean just 37,500 vehicles per year if beginning in 2017?

Giant order to Nevs - but the cars get hot Saab?
Nevs will supply 150,000 electric cars to China. Parts of the cars will start with 2017 manufactured in Trollhättan and completed in China. If it becomes reality, it will be a big boost to Nevs. But the agreement is not a contract of sale.
The news struck at 11:14. National Electric Vehicle Sweden (Nevs) and Chinese Panda New Energy is a press release from Nevs signed a so-called "strategic cooperation agreement" That means Nevs will supply 150,000 electric cars until 2020.
This applies to electric cars that may not be called Saab but that is verging on identical 9-3 since, originating from 2002, cars that Nevs manufactured on a smaller scale but which is now going to be electric.
The agreement should also be about 100,000 additional electric vehicles and services from companies related Nevs and Nevs owners.
The contract's total value amounts to 78 billion RMB, about 100 billion.
But for all that followed Saab Automobile and Nevs recent years - and especially followed errant rides and loss promises about the promised money from the company in China wonder: What is this agreement - really? How safe is it?
- It is clear that there is an order. It is not a purchase agreement. It is signed by Nevs owners and Panda News owners, says Mikael Östlund, head of communications at Nevs.
It is not a purchase contract says you - what's the difference?
- I do not know exactly, but it is clear that there is an agreement that we will deliver 150,000 electric cars.
What does it mean to Trollhattan?
- We will start making cars starting from 2017. The main part of the bodywork of the cars made in Trollhattan. Then finally assembled cars in Tianjin, China.
But the joy may be short-lived Trollhattan if the agreement falls into place, according to current information. According to Mikael Östlund, the entire Chinese factory - even a press department which is now only available in Trollhattan - to be completed around 2020, and then the idea is that the cars must be entirely produced in China.
What does that mean for the development department in Trollhättan?
- It creates jobs in both production and development.
How many then?
- I do not have that answer.
You must surely have an idea?
- I do not want to speculate on that now.
Is there a risk that there will be in?
- Now we have this agreement, and we work for it. Others may speculate, not us.
Today Nevs 600 people employed, including 500 in-house and 120 consultants.
- We recruit around 50 people per month with us in Trollhättan. Now it's a lot on the development side. Then it recruited staff to rebuild the factory so that we can make electric cars and then clean production staff.
Mikael Östlund says they also will build electric cars in Trollhättan - then the whole car.
- We believe that there is a small market for it, says Mikael Östlund.
A major issue is the brand Saab. The background is that the defense company Saab AB owns the Saab brand and then Nevs went into the reconstruction they pulled into law.
You may not call them for Saab?
- We will come back with fire story when it becomes necessary.
But you get the moment to call your products for Saab?
- It's a hypothetical question. We do no cars right now.
Do you currently call your products for Saab - yes or no? - We will come of it.
Despite repeated questions, Mikael Östlund not give any answer.
You negotiate with Saab AB for the brand?
- I will not go into it, says Mikael Östlund.
