Did this recently on a Honda van and a Scion XB.. went with cheap kits, camera monitor combo on the van and just a camera on the Scion since it had a upgraded radio with camera input. Routing the hot wire from the backup light and running the video wire through to the tailgate (including the hatch harness) was the hardest part, dish soap helps get through the rubber boots. Needed to do a little cutting with a roto-tool to make room for the wire around the license plate light. Working up front is fairly easy, I wired the monitor in the van to the overhead console map light which you can do in the combi if you want to use an in mirror monitor or separate monitor in that area.
