Vauxhall - 49 years. Never sold in the US but were sold in Canada by Pontiac Dealers as Vauxhalls. Last year of sales was 1968.
Opel - 45 years. Last year of sale here under the Opel brand was circa 1972 for the Opel GT and Opel Kadett. Murky determination after that point. Most of the Saturn brand cars were US assembled Opel clones. The Saturn Astra sold in late 2000's was the Opel Astra. Buick Cascada is an Opel as is the Lacrosse and others - but how many people know that?.
Citroen - 43 years. Last sold here by PSA in 1974. A Dutch company subsequently imported them in very limited numbers for sale in the US until 1997.
Peugeot - 26 years. Last sold in the US in 1991.
No remaining brand loyalty or awareness in the world's second largest car market due to time since last being imported under the corresponding brand.
Saab - 5 years. Last sold here in 2012. I doubt that the Aerospace company will allow PSA to use the Saab brand on cars as they have been burned twice by GM's and Spyker's performance with the brand.
Truthfully, PSA will need the Saab brand to bring buyers into US show-rooms where they then can also see the other offerings by PSA.
