Might not be frequently done (though I suppose people who move would know). I know people here import from USA to Canada - Les from Winnipeg on this site has done this. There are border services that can be used to help. There also were some past threads on this (Neil Dale was asking about this a few months ago). You would likely need to get the car to meet local USA standards (eg for you California standards, eg for emission). Odometers/Speedometers are in km, often no miles. A few other minor differences.
Be aware that our winters can be very harsh and a lot of salt is used on the roads (less so in the west than in eastern Canada). This makes the cars a lot harder to work on as everything rusts. Bodywork can be a mess also. Usually what you see is the tip of the iceberg.
