I bought a new set of winter tires last fall (hakka R2) and the shop that installed them makes everyone return after 24hrs/10+ miles to check the tire pressures and retorque the lug nuts or they could not guarantee safety.

I checked both immediately. Both were out of spec from the get go (tire pressure was actually 4-6psi below spec and I normally run 2psi above). The tire shop is way across town so not worth my time to go back to do 5 minutes worth of work!

Hakka R2's seem to be a step up over Hakka R, but still not as good on ice as studded. A reasonable compromise for our climate and regulations (studs banned) though. Snowed again last night, so they are still on the car...
