I've been quite happy with the Nokian Hakka R2. We had Michelin Primacy Alpins at one point on the 9-5 (might have been version 2 not 3?), and they were nice on the highway, fine in most bad conditions, but not outstanding. I would say the R2 is better in the bad conditions, but a little less nice on the highway/dry roads... but I buy winter tires for the bad conditions we get, so the R2 is good. That said, I still prefer studded narrow tires on a c900 any snowy icy day over anything we've had on the 9-5 (though I have not yet driven a 9-5 with studded tires). Those classic 900's are monsters in snow!
