The kit pictured has a lot of pieces, but does a person need every socket size in 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 inch drives? Some overlap between 1/4 and 3/8 is fine, same for 3/8 and 1/2 inch drive overlap. But 6-point and 12-point sockets? I would rather NOT have any 12-point sockets! Maybe when I see the kit the sizing would make more sense. There is also nothing but wrenches and sockets. No pliers, no hammers, no pry-bars.
I buy tools at Harbor Freight due to their pricing and my age. Being 62 years old, any new tool purchased may become a single use tool. But H-F doesn't always offer full size ranges in the selections. I encountered this when buying impact sockets for a specific project. I needed a 19mm and a 13mm (IIRC) and all the H-F sets offered only one of these two sizes. So I bought a set from O'Reilly's.
Getting 'most' of what you need in a deeply discounted set, then buying the add on smaller assortments of specific tool types (such as a plier selection) to build a complete tool box, may be the least expensive route - even when the kit inclusion choices give you stuff you don't need.
