One of the first things I did on my OG9-3 was put 25% tint all the way around. As others pointed out it makes a huge difference in interior temperature living in central Florida. Technically it was illegal to have it that dark, but it was overlooked. I found the tint made driving at night a lot less fatiguing by not getting glare from cars traveling behind me. When waving to other drivers I just made sure they could see me from the front windscreen since it was nearly impossible to see me behind the side windows. Never really cared if I was getting the finger from other drivers :)
Moving to Illinois I left the tint on for several years until the neighboring village kept pulling me over for a $20 tint ticket. I pulled the front window tint off, which was illegal to have any at the time. A couple months later they allowed some tint.
My 9-3SS has 35% all the way around for the same reasons above, lower interior temps and less headlight glare.
