Canadian salt belt here. We seem to mangle rotors enough that I usually replace them at the same time as the pads. Maybe they can get cleaned up. I just got Zimmerman on one of ours and ceramic pads. I'm interested to see how that combo holds up compared to past... Usually I have had texar pads which seem to grind up the rotors and leave lots of black dust but they sure feel great! The ceramics are a bit less grippy but are fine. We do usually see rust on the outside of our rotors but replace them for other reasons usually.
