Wow. I followed up on your IMDB link and read the episode viewer comments and my head almost exploded. As we already know, the top creators and developers of AI seem to stop working on it and go public with an extreme expression of concern that we have to be very careful with how we develop the technology. Although the episode you mention was uniquely out of character with the series, there was almost universal acclaim that it opened up for discussion the potential hazards of AI adoption. In this case Mulder and Scully apparently decide not to tip the robots at an automated sushi bar and they end up sending drones after M&S to kill them. Although I don't think we are in any similar danger when we order autoparts this year, I would suggest that we all ensure that we tip starting 2025 or bad things can happen like credit denial, frozen bank accounts, cancelled order, held shipments etc if we don't tip and anger the machines.
