I was on a parts site up here in the Great White North and was rather surprised that their automated system made up of robots was asking for a tip of up to 25% of my purchase. As I fell off my chair I lost the cart but what's up with that request? I identify what parts I need, find them in their system, add them to the cart. Double check everything. Setup the payment and delivery method and press send. If I tip, am I tipping a robot? What does the Robot do with the tip? Do they buy crypto with it and spend it on online gambling or looking at dirty pictures of processor chips? I don't think I want to tip a computer. Is Rockauto asking for tips for their computers? Or is this a new Tony Soprano racket?
