I have often bought small items, both new and used, from Europe for my Saab and they have typically been exempt from import duties due to the de minimus exemption for items under a certain value. Evidently that has ended and now some countries and carriers will not even handle small packages to the US from Europe. What are your thoughts about how this will affect us Saaab owners who sometimes buy parts from Europe to keep our cars running? Even earlier this year I ordered a small used part from Germany, shipped via DHL, and it never arrived. DHL may have suspended shipments even before now. The vendor did give me a refund without question.
