The 68-77 Ford Bronco's aren't collectible? My God man, where have you been? They are probably the single most desirable 4wd ever built, even above the fj-40's and Land Rovers. The old Broncs are gorgeous, and have a huge fan base. Maybe you should do an internet search for some pics of some souped-up old Broncos, you'll see why. The reson I used the Bronco as an example is because my friend had one, and we used to go "wheelin'" with it through some serious off-road type stuff (5 ft. of water/mud). Our other friend had a green FJ-40 with a 327 Corvette engine, and we had to pull him out several times. Trust me, I'm no fan of American Cars, especially FORD! But I seriously believe that Ford was on to something with that truck back then. Major collectors item. A guy down the road from me sold his 74' (nice paint, low mile original) to the Japs a couple of years ago for $25K. When the Japs start buying cars in America to hide them out in climate controlled garages in Yokohama for the next 25 years, you can't say that those cars aren't collectors items. I wonder how many low-mileage 96's and 99's are in Japan next to that Bronc right now?
