Man, what a bummer to lose one of your favorite makes of cars. My uncle is in your situation. He loves two cars - his wife's 9000 and his Aurora.
I think you raise a valid point. Saab is well below 300,000 units a year and is barely profitable (which is a lot more than we could say 5 years ago!). I can only hope that GM sees big things for Saab down the road, perhaps addressing a market that is not already addressed by one of their other cars. This might have been Olds problem in that those 300,000 cars will still go to GM, but in a different line, whereas if you canned Saab, those 130,000 cars would go to a totally different company (an over-simplification, but I think you get my point). Which brings up another question... What would you buy if Saab wasn't a choice for you.... In fact, I'll start a new thread in a moment for that one.
