Don't Park by a 4 door car. The rear doors on a lot of 4 door cars have a sharp point where the vertical line at the rear of the rear door meets the curve of the rear wheel opening. It is that sharp point that makes the nasty dings. The Chevy S-10 Blazer also has this "feature" as do many SUV's. I have recevied no dings (knocking on wood) since I started parking this way.

Of course I could leave the car in the garage all the time and then it would get even less dings.....LOL!
