I understand most awd systems use some type of electronics to control the power transfer... esp, antilock-braking one tire to create the torque transfer.... the Jeep uses a pump that is able to detect slippage and transfer up to 100% of the power to any or several tires that have traction. Jeep has a ramp with rollers positioned so that only 1 tire has traction at any time and the grand was the only suv that was able to make it up the ramp without either slipping back to the bottom or falling off the side like...ok as I understand it only the exploder went off the side of the ramp. And in addition the Jeep also has a low range.
