Is the ABS connected to the TCS in someway?

I posted earlier about my NG 1995 900SE. I hosed off the engine and screwed up the ABS. As I press the brake pedal, the spedometer goes up and the TCS ligh comes on. I've gone throught all the connectors and made sure they were dried out. I'm still having the same problem.
What are the possibilties that the ABS just happened to go out at the same time I washed the engine?
