Just watched 60 Minutes II, they noted NHTSA had done some research in regard to this matter. Apparently, most cars on the road have seats that can break when you are rear-ended hard enough. Some cars broke when hit from behind by a car traveling at 20 or a little more MPH. I looked on NHTSA's web site and couldn't find much except they seem to have a completed study that they contracted out. Have any info, they seemed to think the Jap and AMerican cars were the worst, I don't know if the mentioned and European cars.
