I might call Hertz, but I have no proof, and I'm guessing that the manager at the location will just shrug me off due to laziness. It's really dangerous, and I express this as a warning to everyone here... take a tire guage with you when you rent a car and check the tires.
As far as the Jag... once I got the tires down, I found that it was a wonderful car. Before it was expectedly rough and rattly, but afterwards I found it to be a tight, smooth riding car. The 3.0 doesn't have an excess of power, and there's a lot of transmission hunting (solution: leave it in 4), but overall it's a fine effort. Besides the styling, I wouldn't buy it over the Lincoln LS. The Lincoln w/sport package has a much tauter ride, and sharper handling. Maybe a Jag sport package would be better, too. The interior is beatifully sculpted and the leather is sufficiently fragrant. I'm anxious to see what the new X-Type looks like. Jaguars are the kind of car that I've always admired, but I think I'll pass 40 before I plan to purchase one. And that's a long way off. ;-)
