I have a crazy amount of channels, but a lot of them are fuzzy, and the "digital" quality picture is just a pixelized analog image. It is especially noticeable when something very dark is on the screen; all of the little squares can obviously be seen. Another thing that pissed me off when I got it: no digital audio. They say it is digital quality, but the only audio connection off of the box to my dolby digital receiver was analog RCA connections. That is total BS to say it is digital quality. Analog is analog. It might have been a digital signal coming in, but unless it has a co-ax output or a direct digital output, it is analog, period.

I will be happy when it is gone (when I move, in ten days!)

Dish now has a TiVo system, for $59.99/mo, including their Top 150 package (has speedvision) and a second receiver for another TV in the house. DirecTV is crazy expensive for the comparable package (sorry Jim!) Top 150 by itself is $49.99 with two TVs. The Top 100 package looks appealing, and is only $40.99/mo with two receivers (but no speedvision, d'oh)

I am not sure if I need, or even want the TiVo. As a friend of mine said... it will only increase the amount of TV you watch, and the amount of time that you waste!

I have a few days to decide... we shall see. : )
