I have a Kyocera Smartphone, which has the Palm OS, wireless internet and a very full functioned phone in one package.
It's awesome. Kinda clunky for a phone, but very small if you usually take the phone and the pda with you. It's got voice recognition dialing and a built in speakerphone. I check my e-mail with it and use AvantGo or read Saabnet when I'm out.
I'm a total gadget person and this is probably the coolest gadget I have. There's a color one from Samsung, but it's kinda doofy looking for a phone and you have to dial the phone on the screen (thus you always will have a dirty screen).
Anyway, I've had several pocket pcs and I like those too. Either way you can't go wrong. More apps are available for the palm, but things like syncing with outlook is better w/ a pocket pc.
Good luck.
