Leasing could be better than buying, or vice versa, depending on exactly what's being offered. You need to run the numbers if you want the real answer as to which is better in your circumstances. Typically leasing is a crappy deal financially. However, as an example, at the low money factor & high incentive deals offered last spring, leasing a 9-5 made more sense than buying one (financially).
