Amusing?
You made a blanket statement that (and again I quote), "GM has shown little or no historical ability to manage its existing brands". That is a false statement due to the 50 years GM was the leader. All I did was exlpain that.
You did not say, "Since 1970 GM has shown little or no ability to manage its existing brands". That statement is completely true and is now what you are claiming to have meant, which is fine... but you should have stated that in the first place.
You can not change the deffinition of a word to make your argument. You can not say, "historical" without any qualifiers and then counter with, "but I'm not talking about distant past" when someone refutes your statement. Simply say that you where in error in not qualifying and convaying correctly what you meant to say and you will then find much more agreement.
As for myself it's not that I believe the hype (pro-GM I think you are referring to) it's that I hate the hype. And when I say hype I mean blind and incorrect anti-GM statements that float all over these BB's and create a hatred of all things GM agmong people that don't know enough to know the big picture. That is what I fight against. That is why I refuted your statement.
GM f*cks up enough on their own to make themselves look bad without us needing to make anything up.
