I must contest your statement that, "GM has shown little or no historical ability to manage its existing brands". That could only be considered true if History started in the mid 70's... but it does not. Now follow this closely... GM invented brand management. Starting with the hiring of Harly Earl in the 1920's GM had a 50 year riegn as a god walking among men. At one point in the 1950's GM has a 50% share of the US market and 25% share of the world market. Please explain to me how you manage to soundly defeat all compitietion for a gerneration when you have, "little or no... ability to manage its existing brands"?

Yet another example of blind dislike for GM being displayed in false statements.
