you might as well buy snows. I ran snows last year, and I did not need them in CT. However, there was one snow storm where I got to go out and play and they did an admirable job getting the Viggen up the hills. Plus, their performance on ice is outstanding. Two years ago, I used my Jeep and there were several nasty snow storms where I live. You'd definitely need snow tires for those storms.
