I had the 1996 900SE and bought it as new. Around 155K miles the CEL came on. Brought to dealer they said "no problem you need an O2 sensor" (third one since new, by the way) , I drove away from dealer and approx. 20 minutes later the CEL came on again. I called and was ready to bring car back but they did not have time and next time i went in they replaced some sort vacuum tube or something, week later CEL on again and now I'm pissed prety bad as I have spent almost 400 bucks. This time they say "we know what it is now and you'll have to replace computer for around 1400 bucks". I asked if they will credit me for their misdiagnosis and they said that the badcomputer would cause those things to die as well.
I flipped and said reset the light and drove to another SAAB dealer and asked how much for a trade. I now drive another SAAB 01 AERO Wagon. (no CEL yet). I dont blame the dealer as they were doing their best.

I got way more on my trade then i ever thought though.
