but I can identfy with the sour experience. I dont care how busy your mechanic/service choice is, if you are a regular customer and reasonably rational with your expectations, they should bend over backwards for you. Ive never bought a new car, and probably never will unless I win the lottery, but I have purchased from and continue to bring my car back to a local dealer (who will remain anonymous) with mixed results. Its really the little things that are overlooked that get to me. Greasy fingerprints on the hood, wires not secured with tape or zip ties, paperwork not filled out completely etc. You would like to think that eventually because of their shoddy practices they will fail, but thats usually not the case. As far as Saabnet hosting a "dealer/repair shop rant page" I doubt Scott would go for this, as naming dealers specifically could lead to slander accusations ? Who knows whos typing here, could be someone with a personal problem just looking to screw someone at the dealership because of another personal problem ? One persons perception of good/bad service might be totally out of line with anothers, like "one mans trash is anothers treasure" philosophy. Personally I would like to see it, as I would detail every minute of the whole experience, but would fear that the dealer would recognize me from the post and take it out on my car or wallet the next time I have to go back to them, thats how much I trust them. Think about that. I just bought a non-Saab used car from a dealer, check this out, he assured me that he went over the car with his version of a " 30 point checklist" thingy ....heres what I found when I took delivery, 25 lbs of air in all four tires with a rating of 44 max. ? 1 gallon of gas in the tank and a greasy engine that was supposed to be steam cleaned. What else did he overlook ? ..and my freinds think Im just being picky? I beg to differ. Thats shoddy service.
