with a Tech II and offer to buy him program card for your car. His end of the deal would be to perform diagnostics and component marriages on your car without charge. I think it's about $300.
However, a lot of the independents use Snap-on, or other brand scanners, so it may not be feasible. Still, it seems like there must be a way to get some of these casual services done without being ripped off.
BTW, a quart of brake fluid runs less thean $10, and you can flush and bleed all four brakes in less than an hour. What kind of hourly rates does this dealer charge?
