...them be through, keeping what integrity they had, which is quickly diminishing. The SAAB soul has left the building.

It's kind of like Michael Jordan returning to the NBA... AGAIN. He came, he really didn't do anything impressive, and now we have his most recent performance's in our heads, instead of his memory of the sports god of the past.

SAAB came back... AGAIN, with the lame 'wanna-be' 'me too' design, and it's heritage has been left behind and forgotten. I agree, keeping the same exact design of the 99/900 might not have been the best idea, but I felt SAAB was taking a step forward with that oh-so-sweet 9-5 Aero, and now... a taurus/civic/lexus? It is ugly. It is common. It is NOT SAAB.

If you want to buy a SAAB brand new today, save your $30,000+ dollars, and go to your SAAB/GM dealer, and have them order you the SAAB-SCANIA Griffin badge, unless you want the GM influenced SAAB Griffin badge. Then with the rest of your money you can buy another car to put the badge onto. It's the same thing.

When any business focuses solely on JUST making money, there will be problems. Granted, the idea of business is to make money, but the reason SAAB worked so well in the past, is because, they actually thought about their products, instead of figures alone. SAAB was SAAB, not a 'blend in' General Motors car.

I'd love to hear Gunnar Ljungström's thoughts on his 1947 SAAB 92/'Ursaab' turning into a cheezy General Motors car in the future. I wonder how he would feel about this. I'm guessing he would opt to 'pull the plug' before General Motors could get their paws on SAAB.

I love SAABs, always will. But I will be buying used SAABs of the past for the rest of my life.

Just my humble opinion.
