A lot to infer and assume here... but my worries would be.
If the 9-2 gets the 2.5 B4 (Box 4) then I doubt there would be a turbo version. That engine as an n/a puts out 165hp. With the 9-3 Liner coming in at only 175hp they would probably not be willing ot make the "entry level" 9-2 more powerful than the "mid-range" 9-3. Things that might make a turbo 9-3 a possiblity would be if a) there is a sudden HP increase across the 9-3 line in the next few years alowing some breathing room for the 9-2 to, well... breath. b) We get the 2.0l B4 and not the 2.5. With a lower n/a HP it could be breathed on without making it a Vector killer.
The other, more likely (I think), possibilty would be an ultra limited Viggen like AWD ralley version with a big hooting turbo and gobs of power. But it wouldn't be no $21k.
Either way it will be exciting to watch. Do we get a Saabed out road ripping ralley car or a Subaru Justy with a Grippen emblem on the hood?
Stay tuned
