I did it, too, with a couple of friends. Lost nearly 50 lbs in 6 months. Unfortunately, the holidays came around, and, well, I started eating the carbs. But, I didn't put any weight back on. And cholesterol dropped 40 points over the same period.
I did try to focus again on Atkins, but its terribly difficult the second time around. Why? You don't get the same feeling you did the first time around, since a lot of your fat has been burned off.
Remember, the worst thing you can do is treat Atkins as a diet - it really is a lifestyle change. Take that into consideration when deciding if it is right for you.
I am simply going to cut back on carbs wherever I can, by eliminating refined sugar and white flour (for the most part). I never used much sugar anyway, and I prefer whole wheat breads.
