new jags seem OK (no worse than Saab reliability) and BMW has obviously introduced electrical systems that work in the MINI mad ein the UK, I see no problem whatsoever in slapping a Saab badge on this car, making some tweaks to suspension etc, and selling it in the states. There is nothing wrong with badge engineering if the underlying product is quality. Its when they slap the badge on a piece of sh!t that the problems arise.
