My wife and I were coming home from a movie & dinner one night and it was around midnight when a old pickup pulled out in front of us. We noticed that the woman driver was driving erratically on a two-lane highway with speeds around 50-60 mph.
As chance would have it, we were passing by a police station and we decided to run in and tell the dispatcher what we thought was a drunk driver. A cop inside heard our story immediately ran to his cruiser and took off down the road. We soon followed and saw three cop cars had this woman pulled over and was administering a field sobriety test. BAGGED!
The next day, we called the police station and they told us that the woman was known to the local police for behavior like this and subsequently had a blood alcohol level that was almost three times the legal limit.
All I could think about was some family coming the other way and this complete idiot would have plowed into them. Thank god we were able to do something.
