I was doing 75 on I91 fast lane, very fluid traffic. A Volvo passed me on the right before i could come back to the center lane. Then out of the emergency lane, cops where pointing at us like if we where criminals.
The cop told me I was doing 80 and the Volvo 83mph.
I had set up my cruise at 75, and the volvo was caught at the same time, passing me. How could they get us at the same time in 1 shot from the emergency lane. I think the cop just guessed my speed in comparison to the Volvo's.
The ticket is $239!!! that's almost $16 per mph. Ridiculous isn't it?
I plan on going to trial and show a drawing of the angle he shot us with his laser. I don't want to be racketed by a cop. I'll definitely pay for the 75mph I was doing if i have too. Might be $150 but no way i'm paying 239.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
