OT: Help Diagnosing "Exhaust rattle"?

Howdy all,
I'm trying to find the source of a weird noise in my fiance's '97 Honda Del Sol Si. Shortly after backing up into a curb, and (I think) hitting the muffler (not sure if the scrapes were there before or if this is even related), the car makes this weird groan from the floor of the passenger side. But, the weirdest part is the groan only happens the first and sometimes second time you put the car in first and start to move. After that, no more noise. It sounds like a metallic scraping/groaning noise that's tough to describe. No other symptoms.
The exhaust does run along the passenger side, so I'm thinking that the bump just dislodged one of the pipes or brackets, but I can't figure out why the noise would only happen once per trip?
Any ideas on where to start poking? Everything seems secure on the underside, but I haven't jacked it up yet to really take a good look.
Thanks in advance for any pointers.
