I just happened to have a fast look at it.
Is the SPG a good deal? It does seem a bit on the cheap side
but that said
Prices are allllllllll over when it comes to used Saabs in the GTA. Some are high, some are low. You'd really have to look the car over and make the judgement unfortunately. Before I got my current one (1993 900s) I was trolling the trader online looking for a 93 900 turbo (and autonet.ca) and never really saw a pattern to prices. Whereas something like a ford .. you know how much you can pay for a car over a certain number of years (ie: 88 mustangs will be so much, 92 mustangs will be so much and so on without much variances)
As for the SPG vs the 9kt ... I personally would look at the 9k. I had one before ('87) and it was a fun car ... Plus as far as project cars go, it's a little easier to get go fast goodies/aftermarket parts for the 9k than the 900 (judging by a cursory search of places like Elk, Speedparts)
Really it's a toss up. Both cars are fun to drive, both can haul a lotta stuff with the seats down in the hatch. It comes down to personal preference and what you want to do I guess ?
