I was driving down Deer Park Ave on Long Island (a huge street racing and informal car show spot on the Island that anyone on the Island probably knows about) with the top down with some friends late one night, pretty chilly, about 45 degrees, and we came upon a beautiful '64 Pontiac Bonneville convertible, top also down, and cruised along side for a while. I was letting one of my friends drive, he loves that turbo and can't believe the car can keep up with his '02 325 sedan, and we wanted to dee what the big ol' Pontiac (with a 409 under the hood no less) we knew he'd be able to wipe the floor with us, just wanted a laugh. There was not many other cars out being 1:30 in the morning on a cold wednsday night and it didn't seem to be that risky. Anyway, the driver was afraid to lose to my '95 setc! He heard the turbo wailing away as my friend cut through the gears. He just kept asking me questions about the turbo and horsepower ratings and such. We all just kinda laughed about it and went to eat at a diner, but it got me thinkin, the sound of that turbo i4 can strike fear in the hearts of detroit iron, especially with a somewhat swiss-cheesed muffler, can't wait to see the heads turn when I get a blow off valve on this thing, not to mention a stage 3 ecu and three inch turbo back exhaust. But that'll have to wait. I'll tell you though, I am surprised at how many admiring looks I recieve while in the car, especially top down. The only time I get more looks is when I have the stereo blasting in my older beater eagle vision; 1000 watts and 2 12" subwoofers turn alot of heads. (though many may be in anger;)

Have fun and keep on Saabing!
