Here's some information about a new SAAB. The 9-2. I'm just coming back from France and i've seen many Alfa 147 and AUDI for this segment.
The text is only in french and i just did the translation with babelfish.
And of three: Saab will widen its range by presenting a new small size, 9-2. Intended for young customers, this car, presented with a five doors, has an objective, to position on the segment of the 4x4 and sporting, dominated by Audi A3 and the Alfa Romeo 147. Conceived in co-operation with Subaru, it will be produced in Japan and will be marketed initially on the markets Canadian and American. It will be then marketed on the European market at the end of 2004. This car will be declined in two motorizations, each one equipped with a transmission four wheels driving. The first model will receive one four cylinders of 2,5 liters 150 horses. Aero, vitaminized version, will receive the four turbo cylinders compressed of two liters 190 horses. For the European market, Saab 9-2 will receive a diesel motorization. This car is designed to conquer the market made up of the junior managers which want to roll in small sporting and comfortable. Saab thus joined Subaru, eminent specialist in the sporting trucks with integral transmission, to develop its first 4x4. Available only at the end of 2004 in Europe, it should make blow a fresh wind come from North on the segment a little too vampirized by Audi and Alfa.
