We have a QP wedged between the two Panameras and several S-class AMGs. While the Panamera looks better ever time I look at it, the Maser looks works. I don't think either Porsche's nor Maserati's design language translates well to anything with more than two doors - whereas the 911 and GT are both pretty cars, neither the QP nor Panamera are.
Having driven both, I think the Panamera is the nicer drive. The Maserati Gran Turismo made my CTS-V feel like a lightweight - the QP does the same to the Panamera. The Maserati is a nice cruisers, but the Porsche definitely feels like it wants to play with you. TBH, in terms of "weight feel," the QP might as well be one of those S65s.
I'm not that hung up on vehicle styling in general, I'll take the better drive... maybe the fact that the Panamera is the better drive makes it more attractive to my eyes.
