very true - those options on a porsche are insanely expensive. I had a friend with a boxster, trying to decide if he should drive it through winter or not and if so he would get the hard top add on. It was as expensive as getting a decent reliable used car to use during the winter and to keep miles and salt off the porsche... so that is what he did!

I initially thought the Panamera looked all wrong, and still it does not look as right as a 911, but it is growing on me too. The large hatch is very appealing and 9000-like. That said, the Tesla S looks even better to my eye and seems more practical too, with a trunk in the front also. Pricing is comparable or less. Obviously there is a drastic drivetrain choice...

Anyway, it is great to see some more cars in these body shapes.
