I could have leased my 2013 Buick in October 2012 when it was new and in 2015 October turn it in. A 2 year lease and would have made it one year old. That is my guess. A shell game for sure or crumpy stats?

Regarding Regal: look at the TL at the end and the current RLX for comparison. At 2,000 units annually no one wants a RLX nor sedans anymore. The Regal was already being made as an Opel Insignia so the development costs were already sunk. Plus it was too close in size to the less costly Verano.

The Verano has doubled Acura ILX sales from 2012-2013 and on. It wasn't until 2015 ILX got LED lighting and a advertising spike that Verano stopped out selling 2-to-1. The 2016 Verano is brand new. But unlike the 2012-2013 era where Verano commanded 40% of sales amoungst ILX, A3, CLA, and 320i, this will barely keep the status quo with CUV's barnstorming from everyone.
