It is easy to forgot how much Saabs used to cost. My '87 9kT went out the door for $30k which was a LOT of money back then. And it did get a lovely solid walnut shift knob come to think of it...
I like the design of the new Volvos. It will be interesting to see how that trickles down to the more mainstream models when they are renewed. But it is nice to see them being a bit different with a more simple, elegant, ergonomic design compared to the very similar ugly fest (inside and out) that most manufacturers are converging on. If you want exclusive, apparently only 11 V90 wagons were sold last year (they have to be special ordered, Volvo probably correctly assuming most would want the slightly uglified Cross Country version)
A turbo plus super charger plus hybrid system is a lot of complexity, for what probably feels like and gets not much better real world fuel economy than a turbo V6 or small V8 so I'm not quite sure I'm sold on their commitment to the one 2.0 engine philosophy, but it is interesting.
