Hey I bought my 1986 9000T the 1st model yr, plunked down all of $16k, it was a demo . Ran it some 15 yrs and close to 250k miles. Can't say it had a lot of what one would call 1st model year issues - it was I believe Saab's 1st transverse mounted engine .

But cars of today are an entirely different story given the amount of complexity involved.
