Both the LaCrosse and the Regal have large inventory supplies and have thru much of 2017 despite cutbacks in production - so I don't agree with your comment supply has been "picked over/diminished". Sales in the US have been tepid all year long.

Forbes ran an article not too long ago saying you could get super deals on the Regal - but the sales are not reflecting people rushing in to buy the car, it's just a slow selling dog of a car, sorry if you own one and feel offended.
