I feel the same about hybrids - no range anxiety but two drivetrains, plus the additional complexity of tying them together. An EV with 300 miles of EPA range (200 - 230 of real-world) would handle 95%+ of my driving on a single charge. And fast DC charging rates make a stop for another 150 miles not an obnoxious problem. Besides, our bottoms can't handle 400 miles at a stretch any more.
So my next car will be an EV.
The problem is that the desirable EVs are expensive now, with long lead times and large ADMs common. Even Teslas have had two price increases since I started looking at 3s and Ys.
